Health is a constituent variable of a population's human capital stock, and as such it is fundamental as an indicator of social well-being, as well as an essential economic variable influencing a society's long-term economic growth process. This monograph had as research object the Primary Health Care services provided by the Basic Health Unit (UBS) in the Chã da Tábua neighborhood, municipality of São Lourenço da Mata, State of Pernambuco. The study focused on the main variables that affect accessibility and citizen satisfaction with products (goods and services) offered by public health through the Unified Health System (SUS). More specifically, this research focused on analyzing the profile of access, identifying the main problems and barriers to accessibility, particularly the main impediments to frequent use of health services. Methodologically, the research was carried out from a survey of primary information obtained directly from the population and from the units offering health services, through questionnaires, forms and semi-structured interviews, which made it possible to infer on the nature of the quantitative and qualitative aspects of the offer. of basic health goods and services in the studied district. Among these, those related to the degree of user satisfaction stood out. The research allowed us to gather information that can serve as subsidies for the development of public policies aimed at primary health care.
