Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie is a Nigerian author of a new generation of writers who is writing about a Nigerian diaspora and allows us to know the history of Africa through the eyes of her own people, who once saw themselves through a rudimentation through colonial system systems. A purple Hibiscus work brings to the scene or breaking the borders of patriarchal space by projecting a space of resistance in the work. The theoretical thinking of the various feminisms: Western and Afrocentric, cultural and postcolonial studies are used for the analysis of the characters Kambili, Amaka, Beatrice and Ifeoma. Among the theorists used to build this work we highlight Edward Said, Frantz Fanon, Stuart Hall, Gayatri Spivak, Lúcia Zolin, Lioyd Brown and Chimamanda Adichie. Here, we seek to reflect, investigate and understand what are the marks left by colonization, as imposed forms of oppression and how the codification process takes place against the oppressions of gender, class and race suffered by them. From this perspective, the Adichie seeks to exhibit a Nigerian woman and the difficulties faced by them, highlighting a relationship with society, family, marriage, without a postcolonial period.

The present analyzes Contos Negreiros, a tale book written by Marcelino Freire, through Gayatri Chakravorty Spivak studies about subalternity. Because it is based on texts that trace tones of reality and that approach very lively themes in the daily life of the peripheries of the world, the work will be analyzed in this research. Given that Marcelino Freire approaches in his work subjects that are systematically excluded from the processes of social and economic representation, it was possible to establish a link between the theory and the literary piece. We will see how the subaltern person speaks through the characters who tell us about their indignation and salvation. The issue of women as inferior and dependent is wide open in the lines of one of the characters, the racism which is imposed every day, the homophobia that is flagged in the thought of the society, the pedophilia that happens daily under our supervision, the xenophobia, and the impunity which was built over the years on top of indigenous communities, among other seemingly commonplace situations.The concern here is to relate these literary characters and their affronts to the subordinate subject pointed out by Spivak. For that, we will use theories of postcolonial studies such as the author cited and Homi Bahba, as well as scholars about the literature such as Antônio Candido and his theory about the character and Anatol Rosenfeld.

“Prazer, eu sou a própria literatura”: análise do Poetry slam no contexto brasileiro

O presente trabalho tem como objetivo analisar o desencadeamento da poesia performática de rua no nosso país, conhecida como Poetry Slam. Através de uma revisão bibliográfica, busca-se investigar o slam desde o seu surgimento nos bares de Chicago até sua chegada no território brasileiro pelas mãos da pesquisadora Roberta Estrela D’Alva, além de relacioná-lo com a poesia marginal da Geração Mimeógrafo. Ainda, empreende-se investigar as principais batalhas de slam em um contexto nacional, especificando-se em seguida na região Nordeste e no estado de Pernambuco. A proposta é analisar de que maneira diferentes grupos sociais marginalizados utilizam da poesia do slam como “arma” de resistência. A pesquisa justifica-se levando em consideração o processo de apagamento histórico sofrido pelas populações periféricas e a consequente desvalorização da arte produzida por essas pessoas, nesse caso em questão, o slam. Soma-se à isso a precária investigação acadêmica sobre esse tipo de poesia. Para efetivar a abordagem proposta nessa pesquisa, foram investigadas poesias declamadas em algumas das mais emblemáticas batalhas de slam pelo Brasil: “Hype” (Slam da Guilhermina, 2022), “Na ponta do abismo” (Slam das Minas RJ, 2017), “Maldita Geni” (Slam Resistência, 2021), “Sertão” (Slam da Quentura, 2020) e “Aquela que não te pertence” (Slam das Minas PE, 2018). A partir da análise, os resultados se efetivam, mostrando a importância do slam para a valorização das periferias, além de seu viés didáticopedagógico como uma significativa ferramenta de denúncia social e quebra de estereótipos sociais.
