As a way of deepening the veterinarian's knowledge, the Mandatory Supervised Internship (ESO) is offered in the eleventh period as a means of interaction and experience for the student with the routine and the most common casuistry of the professional in action and relating to what was learned during the subsequent five year course. This course completion work includes a supervised internship report, conducted at the Animalis Clinic - Surgery and Veterinary Clinic (Recife, PE) and a case report of a procedure performed at the site, both focusing on Veterinary Anesthesiology. The ESO comprised the period from March 12 to May 27, 2019, totaling 420 hours in which 39 patients were attended to perform anesthetic procedures. Among the activities described are the results of several important anesthetic topics, such as the most frequently attended systems or specialties, the most commonly used blockages and pharmacological associations, the most used drugs for pre-anesthetic medication (MPA) protocols, among others. In the selected report, whose title is: "Blockage of the ventral branches of thoracolumbar spinal nerve roots with association of Ropivacaine and Hyaluronidase in a dog submitted to mastectomy and ovariohysterectomy", a Maltese dog was admitted for a right unilateral mastectomy and ovariohysterectomy. The anesthetic protocol selected was the blockade of the innervation of the transverse abdominal plane without the use of ultrasound, associating hyaluronidase with ropivacaine so that the drug obtained a greater reach and raised the potency of the local anesthetic in the tissues. The selected protocol was effective and shows that the blockade of the region can be performed with the drugs listed without guided ultrasonography.

At the end of the Veterinary Medicine course it is necessary to perform the Mandatory Supervised Internship (ESO), which is the 11th period. The presentation of the report to obtain the partial mark and prerequisite for conclusion of the course, as well as it is also important to report the experiences acquired during this final stretch, both in veterinary ophthalmology clinic and in veterinary ophthalmic surgeries. This ESO was carried out at the Veterinary Hospital of UFRPE campus Recife, being in agreement with the pedagogical proposal of the course. This course completion work includes a report of the activities carried out during the veterinary ophthalmology training and a case report of the use of conjunctival cytology to aid in the diagnosis of canine leishmaniasis. Leishmaniasis is a disease of great importance for public health and therefore was addressed as a case report of this ESO. Conjunctival cytology is a non-invasive rapid diagnostic method that can be performed to aid in the diagnosis of systemic diseases affecting the eye and its attachments. It is important for the clinician to take a differential approach to cases of leishmaniasis that appear to the clinic. We conclude that the observation of conjunctival cytology will help in the elucidation of cases even when there are not all clinical signs of the disease. Helping to know the types of inflammatory cells and the involved microorganisms allowing to make a diagnosis and a more correct treatment.

Comprimento total do intestino do sagui (Callithrix jacchus)+

The achievement of the Mandatory Supervised Externship in the areas Small Animal Surgical Clinic and Veterinary Ophthalmology, with the publication of the report to be presented by the student. This work portrays the activities experienced during the three-month period, including the follow-up of surgeries and outpatient care, as well case discussion and presentations in both sectors. Comprising, also, the case report "Ceratectomy and third eyelid flap in Persian feline with corneal sequestration". Corneal sequestration is a common affection in felines, occurring in males or females of any age group, with a predilection for Persian and Himalayan races. It most commonly affects the stromal portion of the cornea, which may be a dry-looking plaque with a black spot passing the corneal epithelium or an amber-brown plaque with undefined limits. The etiology is not well enlightened, but is known that ulcerative keratitis, palpebral abnormalities and the lacrimal combination may precede the condition. The keratectomy is a widely used surgical treatment, varying the protective ways of the surgical wound, at which point the report relate the technique the third eyelid flap. In this way, this work seeks to report a continuing therapy in the Veterinary Ophthalmology stage, as well as the efficacy and recurrence of this disease.

This report was prepared at the end of the Supervised Probationary (ESO) to obtain the partial grade, prerequisites for the graduation of Veterinary Medicine. The ESO happened in two different campus of UNESP, in the area of Large Animals Surgery at the Botucatu campus and at the Veterinary Ophthalmology service at the Jaboticabal campus. This paper presents the routines and cases followed, whether or not they are surgical, between the months of April and June 2018. Finally, the literature review on Enteral Fluid Therapy in Equines, developed after observation during the interniship. Enteral Fluid Therapy consists the administration of electrolytic solutions in the gastrointestinal tract in order to correct local and systemic imbalances. This technique proves to be an inexpensive and physiologically safe alternative, with few clinical limitations for its application. The accomplishment of this stage allowed me to experience new techniques and behaviors, enriching the knowledge acquired in the undergraduate course.

Sea turtle populations are declining worldwide and human activities are being considered as important factors in decreasing this group. Fisheries carried out directly on foraging sites of the species Lepidochelys olivácea generate high mortality rates for this species. Sea turtle strandings have been a very important tool for studies regarding the negative impacts that occur in the coastal zone. Taking into account the importance of assessing the impacts caused on sea turtle populations, the objective of the present study is to estimate the age for the species Lepidochelys olivacea found on the coast of municipality of Ipojuca - PE, using the skeletochronology technique. 14 individuals were used to carry out the analysis, using transversal cuts of the humerus close to Crista Deltapeitoral and thus testing the method of manual wear to obtain the materials for reading the growth lines. The estimated age of the individuals analyzed was 9 to 17 years. It was observed in a strong correlation between the curvilinear Carapace Length - CCC and the number of growth lines (r = 0.91; P <0.0001). However, the correlation between the CCC and the longitudinal length - CL did not obtain a good correlation (r = 0.7; P <0.0001).
