Item A história e cultura afro-brasileira no componente curricular artes do ensino médio da Rede Pública Estadual da Bahia(2021-08-13) Ramos, André Luiz Barbosa; Pinto, Janille da Costa; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3170771425776045; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8514398056741164This research reflects on the Afro-Brazilian history and culture in the curricular component of High School Arts of the State Public Network of Bahia established by law 10.639 (2003). It aims to discuss the pedagogical possibilities of including Afro-Brazilian history and culture in the curricular component of Arts of Regular High School of the State Public Education Network of Bahia, from the verification of how the curriculum of this component is organized at this stage of basic education , as well as to identify the effectiveness of the guidelines of law 10.639(2003) contained in the official documents that regulate Regular Secondary Education in this Network. In addition to proposing pedagogical and artistic activities in an interdisciplinary way involving the theme of Afro-Brazilian history and culture in Art Education classes. The theoretical framework includes discussions about the Common National Curriculum Base (2019), the appreciation of the culture and history of Afro-Brazilian peoples as highlighted by Candau and Oliveira (2010), and Munanga (1988), artistic aspects defended by Barbosa (2016; 2017), as well as the legislative documents that regulate the subject at the national and state level. The methodological procedures adopted consist of literature review, with qualitative, descriptive, bibliographical and documentary research. The data obtained show that the Regular High School of the State Public Education Network of Bahia works the theme in an interdisciplinary way, involving mainly the Arts component, they carry out artistic and cultural projects that highlight the ethnic diversity of the peoples, in line with the assumptions contained in the laws 10.639(2003) and LDB(1996), as well as the BNCC(2019) and the Guidelines for High School and Ethnic-Racial Relations and for the Teaching of Afro-Brazilian and African History and Culture (2004) . Based on the results and discussions presented, it is considered that the Network promotes the appreciation of cultural diversity in the quest to exterminate any form of discrimination and racial prejudice.
