Item Gestão prisional: ressocialização através da educação e profissionalização do preso(2019-11-27) Rêgo, Carlos André de Barros; Moura, Ana Carla Paiva de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5199273241058354; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9976593931192519This study aimed to analyze the reality of a Paraíba State Maximum Security Penitentiary, demonstrating the need to promote the resocialization of the prisoner or convicted, termed by humanists as re-educating through formal education, training, professionalization and citizenship. The Government is responsible for promoting the most varied mechanisms in order to resocialize prisoners, developing their morality and professionalism so they can return to society and not relapse, demonstrating that prisons are not schools of crime, but a place where the convicted is to fulfill his sentence and to improve his character through personal promotion. It can be seen that the reality shown in this research does not represent the total reality of the Brazilian prison system nor the Estate of Paraíba. The study was based on Laws, Decrees, doctrine, reference documents, as well as observation of reality. It was observed that the resocialization of the inmate is possible. The entire process of social inclusion carried out within the Prison Unit brings great benefits to society.
