For this elaboration, the concept of habitus in Pierre Bourdieu, the notion of experience and culture elaborated by E. P Thompson, and the production of a peripheral epistemology by Tiaraju Pablo D'Andrea resulting in the conceptualization of the peripheral subject was taken as a theoretical basis. Equally fundamental to penetrate peripheral cinema, a brief conceptualization, ebaborada by Ângela Pryston, about the relationship and influence of Third Cinema in the emergence of peripheral cinema will support the filmic analysis of Mato Seco em Chamas (2022), by filmmakers Adirley Queirós and Joana Pimenta.
