    Fundação Jorge Duprat Figueiredo de Segurança e Medicina do Trabalho: ações de prevenção de acidentes e doenças na indústria da construção civil em Pernambuco

    The Statistical Yearbook of Accidents at Work records that in the year 2017 there were 549,405 accidents at work across the country, with 14,417 of these accidents occurring in Pernambuco. On the other hand, FUNDACENTRO, which is a Brazilian public institution present throughout the national territory, develops several programs on safety and health at work, among which the Work Safety Engineering Program in the Construction Industry (Proesic) stands out. This research aimed to investigate what actions are being developed by Proesic, with a view to reducing work accidents in the construction industry in the state of Pernambuco. The research was based on the descriptive methodology and to obtain the data a questionnaire was applied with closed and open questions. Data analysis was based on thematic categories from Regulatory Norms 18 of the Ministry of Labor of Brazil. It is concluded that the potential factors for work accidents in the civil construction industry in Pernambuco are still those indicated in NR 18 and that Proesic / FUNDACENTRO does not carry out training, cataloging and dissemination of data regarding actions due to conflict of understanding of the Decree no. 10,096 / 2019.
