    Contribuição do programa ‘Mais Educação’ na educação básica de uma rede municipal

    This work aimed to analyze the improvement in the quality of education of the Municipal Network of Recife, supported by the federal program ‘More Education’. This is a descriptive, quantitative study, carried out in a public school in the city of Recife-PE. It was used primary and secondary data, through an interview with the school management and the participant observation of the researcher as a teacher of the establishment, as well as analysis of the indices of the Basic Education Assessment System (SAEB) in the country, from 2010 to 2017. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. It was evidenced that the ‘More Education’ program had its success as a complementary factor to the actions of the analyzed school. Thus, it is concluded that the program itself does not guarantee the desired and desired quality in education, but combined with serious and committed teaching projects, it can contribute significantly to this integralist and formative formation of individuals.
