The internship was carried out in two times, at the Veterinary Hospital of the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco and at the Veterinary PetDream Veterinary Hospital, where the activities related to Veterinary Surgery described in this report took place. Amongst the accompanied cases, a cholecystectomy for correction of a cholecystocutaneous fistula in a 13-year-old female poodle with a wound in the xiphoid region irresponsive to treatment, draining a yellowish liquid was selected to be reported. Complementary exams were performed, including an abdominal ultrasound, where it was possible to visualize a communication between the gallbladder and the abdominal wall, opting for a gallbladder removal as treatment. Cholecystectomy proved to be an effective method for correcting the condition, with no recurrences 67 days after surgery.
