The main goal of the current work is to describe the activities made by the student Jonathan Martins de Freitas during his mandatory supervised internship at “Centro de Triagem de Animais Silvestres” (CETAS Tangara) in Recife, Pernambuco, Brazil, from September 1st to November 12th, 2021, with a 424-hour workload. The internship was focused on wildlife medicine and rehabilitation, under the supervision of the veterinarian Natália Costa Teixeira dos Santos and guidance of Prof. Dr. Jean Carlos Ramos da Silva. The first half of this report presents the activities made during the internship, and the second one describes a literature review about “Wildlife trade in Brazil and their influence on the circulation of zoonosis: One health perspectives”, a theme chosen by its importance and link with the referred internship.
