This work aims to analyze the application of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) in the solid waste disposal chain, specifically the construction waste in the municipality of Igarassu/PE. The research also aims to understand how the process of disposing of common waste and the construction waste is given, to make an analysis of the municipal and federal environmental legislations, linking the SDG and mapping the solid waste chain to its final disposition in the landfill in Igarassu. In this way, the concepts worked are the sustainable development, sustainability, environmental rationality, economic rationality and world-system. Regarding the method, we adopted the perspective of qualitative research, through a case study that used as data collection the simple observation, bibliographical readings of data generated by secondary sources and semi-structured interviews, with the involved in the waste disposal chain the main subjects. As a final result of the research, it was observed that the sustainable development in the city occurs insufficiently and that this is a reflex of the agenda that does not understand and does not meet the need of the site, but rather theglobal.
