Accidents at work with equipment and machines usually happen due to human error. Several times as a result of the lack of qualification and training of the workers, compliance with standard procedures, as well as the non-use or incorrect use of personal protective equipment and, mainly, the absence of protections and safety systems for machines and equipment. In view of this, NR12 establishes, among several factors, the requirement that companies guarantee employee safety during the development of their work. However, only the NR-12 cannot guarantee the specific safety of all machines, with that there are standards such as NR-9 and NR-1 that talk about the issue of analyzing the risk of the equipment or machine. The objective of this work is to present a Proposal for the adaptation of a hydraulic combustion press in accordance with the requirements established by NR12, and complemented by NR-9 and NR- 1 in order to guarantee a more specific safety of this machine that is located in an Industry Metallic Warehouse in Jaboatão dos Guararapes.
