Dessa forma, através das noções de controle social e análise de práticas discursivas à luz do teórico Michel Foucault e da abordagem do Estado-jardineiro de Bauman, a trajetória, as estratégias e alvos a serem atacados pelo esquadrão serão pontos principais da discussão. Com o amparo da documentação DOPS e uma cuidadosa seleção de teses, dissertações e obras bibliográficas sobre a repressão, buscar-se á no artigo apresentar a importância do debate sobre essa cearaFollowing the perspectives addressed by the New Political History and the importance of the debates about the period in which the civil-military dictatorship in Brazil (1964 -1985) was in force, this article aims to historicize, to point out the practical approaches and the modus operandi of a of the mechanisms of social control and repression during the military regime in Pernambuco, the Death Squad.
