Cadernos Ômega, Recife, v.1, n.2, p. 39-45, dez. 1977.https://repository.ufrpe.br/handle/123456789/93One specimen of Brotula Barbata (Bloch & Shaneider) has been captured in Pernambuco Statet, in january 1976, for the first time on a brasilian coast by a fishing regional boat, only three examples have been reported throughout all coast of the South America: 2 in Venezuelaand 1 in Surinam, The specimen measured 550.0 mm in total lenght and 1.550,0 g in weight.
