The objective of this work was to describe the niche width of different populations of the P. nordestinus species occurring in two remnants of coastal Atlantic Forest and in an altitude forest. Thirty-nine specimens from ESEC Tapacurá, 33 specimens from FLONA (CRATO-CE) and 34 CIMNC specimens, totaling 106 individuals, were analyzed. To predict the ecological results of the degradation and disappearance of amphibian biodiversity, a comprehensive understanding of their natural history and their trophic interactions is necessary, so the information provided through the diet can contribute to this understanding. The rostro-cloacal length of each individual was obtained and then the gastrointestinal contents were separated and fixed in 70% alcohol for later identification. The contents of the prey were determined at the lowest possible taxonomic level. The frequency of occurrence of each food item and the Levins Index of the trophic niche amplitude were calculated. The individuals of P. nordestinus had an average CRC of 38.17 (± 3.5) and 248 items were found divided into three taxonomic categories: Insecta, Arachnida and Entognata, with Araneae and Hemiptera being the most frequent orders. Sexual dimorphism was confirmed for the species, in the three studied localities. It was observed that there is a variety of food items in the diet of the P. nordestinus species.
